Dr. Alyssa Heinz joined ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery Specialists of Shady Grove in July 2022. Prior to this, she spent over a decade working in Maryland as a clinical audiologist at two well-established ENT practices at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center where she provided a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to pediatric and adult patients. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences (2007) and a Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Maryland, College Park (2011.) Dr. Heinz’s clinical experience includes training at the Howard County Public School System’s County Diagnostic Center, and she completed a semester rotation as well as her fourth-year externship at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Department of Otolaryngology- Division of Audiology. Dr. Heinz carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (C-AAA), which is awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA.)
